Asbestos Survey Procedure

The impact of asbestos containing materials (ACM) in a facility is determined by a complete and comprehensive survey of the facility for the presence of ACM. The asbestos hazard assessment program consists of the following:

  1. Review of all available building records and blueprints.
  2. Review of all available records of prior abatement activities, construction or renovation.
  3. Visual inspections of all areas of the facility, followed by comprehensive survey consisting of suspect ACM sampling, labeling and analysis.
  4. All materials from which samples are collected are assessed for:

  • Potential for Disturbance (From Normal Operations or Repairs)
  • Water Damage
  • Air Movement Within the Affected Area
  • Sample analysis utilizing Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) with dispersion staining, refractive indices and morphological techniques.
  • Comprehensive Survey report Detailing Recommendations formulated for the handling of ACM hazard in the facility.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures are followed to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Asbestos Abatement Project Management

To comply with all the regulatory laws during an Asbestos Abatement Project it is required by NYC DOL & NYC DEP that a Third Party Asbestos Project Monitor & Air Sampling Technician be present to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and to avoid the possibility of creating hazardous health conditions.

Enviro­Pro UnLTD Corp. on behalf of our client will see the project through completion and ensure, that it is performed in accordance with the technical specifications and all applicable federal, state and local regulations.

Enviro­Pro UnLTD Corp. will provide fully trained and certified industrial hygiene technicians/project monitors & air sampling technician on site during the entire preparation and removal process. These professionals are responsible for air monitoring before, during and after the asbestos removal. All daily activities are recorded and are later included in the final report submitted to our clients. In addition constant correspondence with the client is maintained to notify of project status.
